You can be a classic beauty too!

We at Lavender Lane love all things vintage and old-school so when I discovered this website about vintage beauty tips, I was admittedly intrigued!

When I think of vintage beauty, old Hollywood glamour girls like Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe immediately come to mind. They totally define the word “classic beauties” for me.

So what were some of the things that they did to keep their hair coiffed and lustrous and their cheeks rosy? They certainly didn’t have things like curling irons or hot rollers that we do today, and you know as well as I do that the love for vintage is coming back!

Look at Leighton Meester from Gossip Girls channelling old Hollywood glamour with her tousled updo and cherry red lips!

Taylor Swift with the finger waves faux bob popular in the 1920’s.

Madonna with the 1940’s victory rolls look!

Okay, before I get carried away, here’s the website I have been talking about!

I have heard of the Rag-A-Curl and a friend of mine told me that it actually works! I’m personally very interested in the Rogue a la Rose – an excuse to coerce my hubby into buying me flowers 😀 😀 😀
Have you heard of or tried any of the tricks they raised? Which of them are you game to try out? I thought the Vaseline trick for puffy eyes might be worth a try too!

Who knows, we may even try some of the stuff out on our models for the next photoshoot, hehe!

Let me end off with a beautiful quote from Audrey Hepburn:
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
